You can always tell it's summer when the Monday entertainment options pick up considerably. Today is no exception, with all manner of activities available for your perusal.---

For example, this is SLC's "Chicken Week," in case you didn't know, and Monday night features a screening of the doc Mad City Chickens at the Tower Theater, a look at urban chicken keepers and their various quirks. The show starts at 7 p.m.

If comedy is more your thing, former SNL goat-boy and heavy-metal lover Jim Breuer is headlining at the Wiseguys in West Valley City at 7:30 p.m.

On the music tip, dance-rockers Matt & Kim (pictured) headline what should be a stellar show at In the Venue, a gig that also includes The Thermals and Autobot. And over at The Urban Lounge, The Donkeys bring their dreamy Cali-rock to town for a show that also includes The Awful Truth, starting at 9 p.m.
