Utahns naturally have a fascination with the state's most famous resident (sorry Osmonds, but you're second place at best), and Tuesday night offers a chance to get close to Robert Redford. But not THAT close.---
The King's English is hosting a reading and signing with Michael Feeney Callan, author of the recently released Redford biography. Callan spent 15 years working on the tome, and had access to a lot of Redford's personal archives of journals, notes and correspondences, along with hundred hours of interviews with the man. The event is at 7 p.m., but get there early to get a good spot.
At Kilby Court Tuesday, local alt-folkies the Folka Dots (pictured) headline a show that also includes The Trappers and Ratty Kate and Lead Pencil; the gig starts at 7 p.m. At the Salt Lake City Main Library, the Music@Main concert series features a gig tonight with Theta Naught and the 321s. It's free and it starts at 7 p.m.
And the SLC Film Center is hosting a free screening of My Perestroika tonight at 7 p.m. in the Main Library auditorium.
