The Friends of Animals Utah non profit is hosting a weekend of events for four-legged friends and their two-legged companions looking to have a good time in Park City and help support the nonprofit’s animal rescue ranch.---

The Friends of Animals Utah nonprofit started in 1990 as a small band of animal-lovers looking for a new shelter, now they’ve helped rescue more than 10,000 animals from being euthanized and have put together their own rescue and rehab ranch as well as their animal adoption center, Furburbia. Now they’re bringing the cats and dogs out to take over Park City this weekend, with a variety of events raising money to support their rescue efforts.

Bark ‘n Art Stroll Friday, June 24

Why take your pet for a walk when you can take them for a gallery stroll? Check out this special gallery stroll on Park City’s main street Friday. Dogs on leashes are welcome to tote their owners from one beautiful gallery to another. Don’t forget to stop at the Silver Queen Fine Arts booth, where owners and pets can get their pictures taken for a $5 donation.

All things Animal Fair Saturday, June 25

Come to the rescue ranch and hear veterinarian technicians discuss everything critter-related under the sun, from wildlife conservation to the need for companion animals. The discussion is free to the public.

Barking with the Stars Sunday, June 26

If you think your pet’s got talent, then bring them on down to the Barking with the Stars talent competition, where their “sits,” “stays,” and “rollovers” will have to pass the stern judgment of celebrity pet judges Simon Howl and Sharon Ozbarker. There will also be music and silent auction.
