A bevy of entertainment opportunities are out there for your perusal. Check out some of our highlighted picks.---

The Salt Lake City Film Festival kicks off today and runs through the weekend, offering an array of genres for all you film lovers. Be sure to get your tickets early if any particular film strikes your fancy.

The Gallivan Center hosts blues legend B.B. King Thursday night, and he's getting up there, age-wise, so see him while you can if you want a taste of American music history -- with those unique, killer licks from his guitar, Lucille, and B.B.'s status as one of the finest blues vocalists ever.

Thursday is also the second-to-last Twilight Concert Series show, this week featuring the multi-sensory gurus of Ghostland Observatory along with Phantogram.  And if you want a more BYOB, pop-music vibe, take a trip to Deer Valley for Goo Goo Dolls, Michelle Branch and Parachute.

And, of course, to avoid the madding crowds, hunker down at Brewvies to watch some TV with City Weekly, as new episodes of Louie and Wilfred roll out for your viewing pleasure.
