Drop by The Green Pig Pub's open blues jam tonight to play with legendary bassist "Shorty" Gilbert, who will be making a stop by the jam, the pub's Facebook page says.---

Gilbert joined Howlin' Wolf's band in 1974, where he was a vital part of the rhythm section for two years until Wolf's death. After, he joined the Wolf Gang, where he then kept the low end for nearly two decades. Gilbert is making his rounds this week, playing gigs at The Garage, Pat's Barbecue, Burt's Tiki Lounge and Sun & Moon Cafe. However, at none of the shows will you be able to jam with the legend, like tonight, starting at 9 p.m.
