Let's start November in style, mmmkay?---

A.A. Bondy is in town Tuesday to do just that. The singer/songwriter is playing The Urban Lounge at 9 p.m., and if you follow this link, you can read an interview with the man.

Tesla probably falls in the "classic-rock" category now, especially for their Tuesday show at The Depot, which will feature a heavy dose of acoustic tunes, ala the band's Five Man Acoustical Jam breakthrough 20-plus years ago. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show's at 8 p.m.. Meanwhile, the Great Saltair is hosting some younger bands with a somewhat classic sound in Thrice and Manchester Orchestra; that show starts at 7 p.m.

Marching band fans will want to get in on BLAST!, a Tony-winning theatrical production that showcases some incredible musical talent. Tuesday and Wednesday, you can catch the show at Kingsbury Hall at 7:30 p.m.

The REI in Salt Lake City is hosting an invaluable session on waxing and tuning basics for your skis or snowboard Tuesday night at 7 p.m. The snow will be flying any second now, so hop to it!
