We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

You think Thanksgiving Eve isn't a night to party down? Au contraire! Check out these killer parties:---

Bar Deluxe's new Wednesday night of hard-hitting dance music hosted by DSCO///MNSTR and Nightfreq is throwing down for a Lady Gaga costume party Wednesday night. I know you little monsters are always looking for a reason to put on your most ridiculous Gaga finery, so hop to it!

Kilby Court has a show headlined by Ocean Grove, better known as the backing band for the Jonas Brothers, of all things. Pop-rock bubblegum isn't always a bad thing.

The annual Royal Bliss (pictured) pre-Thanksgiving bash takes over The Depot, and you can bet the joint will be jumping to the longtime SLC faves' rock 'n' roll.

Over at Liquid Joe's, the Metal Gods are on hand to deliver the cock-rock covers of yesteryear, with DJ CWell spinning some tunes as a warm-up. The bar will also have a raffle benefitting Toys for Tots during the night.
