Creep a little closer to December with some of these fine entertainment picks from around town.---

The Urban Lounge hosts Bob Log III, a slide-guitar madman with a stage presence that ranges from hilarious to disturbing to borderline offensive. Ain't that what we all look for in a rock 'n' roll night out? The show starts at 9 p.m.

Hip-hop heads will want to check out Bar Deluxe Tuesday night, for a gig featuring GeorgeLife, Oso Negro, The Bridge and Jef Doogie, starting at 9 p.m.

If a little black-metal mayhem is more your speed, you'll want to check out, well, Mayhem, headlining a gig at The Complex Tuesday night. The Norwegians' gig starts at 8 p.m.

The Geeks Who Drink pub-quiz folks are hosting a benefit called Trick or Treatment: A Quiz for a Cause at Maggie McGee's Tuesday night, raising cash for a couple of kids who were hit by a driver despite being in a crosswalk. It starts at 8 p.m., and is just $5 a player.

As always, you can join City Weekly's TrueTV at Brewvies for a screening of the latest episode of Sons of Anarchy, starting at 8 p.m.
