Reduce, Reuse and Recycle for the Holidays

This weekend, take part in a community swap. Bring items you don’t need, take the stuff you want and whatever’s left over will be donated to help the local refugee community.---

The First Unitarian Church of Salt Lake City is teaming up with the International Rescue Committee for a unique holiday-gift swap meet. But this is a swap meet true to the name -- participants are encouraged to come to the meet and bring items they no longer need but that are in good condition such as clothes, furniture, jewelry, books, music, school supplies, etc. After you’ve dropped off the items you don’t need, feel free to pick up donated items that you do need. All the items left over at the end of the day will be donated to the International Rescue Committee, who will make sure the items go to help newly relocated refugees in Utah.

Reduce, reuse, recycle and rejoice in the holiday spirit.

Check it out, Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., at the First Unitarian Church, 569 S. 1300 East. For more information, contact jmg@csolutions.net
