We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

TV Weekend: Fringe, Too Cute!, Mad Men, House of Lies

What’s new on the tube this weekend:

Fringe (Fox, tonight) Return: The latest This Side freakazoid to track down? A serial killer … of love! No, really! He kills love! ---Speaking of love, Pacey, er, Peter must also deal with his fake-love situation vis-a-vis Olivia (Anna Torv). Will he continue to lead her on, even though she’s not “his” Olivia? Well, look at her—I’m going with “Hey, fuck it.”

Also new tonight:
Shark Tank (ABC); Who Do You Think You Are? (NBC); Kitchen Nightmares (Fox); Nikita, Supernatural (The CW); Merlin (Syfy); America’s Most Wanted (Lifetime); Fairly Legal, In Plain Sight (USA); Spartacus: Vengeance (Starz); Real Time With Bill Maher (HBO)

Luck (HBO, Sunday) Series Finale: Read all about it in True TV (Item 2).

House of Lies (Showtime, Sunday) In the penultimate episode of new PR-weasel series House of Lies, Marty (Don Cheadle) gets fucked over by “The Rainmaker” (Griffin Dunn), so he sets out to double-fuck Rainy and Skip (Richard Schiff) with a two-headed Satanic dong of vengeance. OK, nothing that graphic (even for a show with this much sex and nudity), but you should check out House of Lies before it ends next Sunday. Oh, and Veronica Mars is in it, too.
