March Madness has now subsided, but for political junkies April’s pre-convention season of election-time craziness is just getting started. Check out a 4th Congressional meet-the-candidates event Wednesday morning, and later, watch online the first Senate debate between incumbent Orrin Hatch and challengers Dan Liljenquist and Rep. Chris Herrod, R-Provo.---
The congressional action gets started at the University of Utah’s Hinckley Institute of Politics forum, where 4th Congressional District Candidates Mia Love, Jay Cobb and Carl Wimmer are confirmed to speak about their bid to usurp Utah’s lone Democrat in D.C., Rep. Jim Matheson, D-Utah.
Check it out, Wednesday, April 4, at 11 a.m. at the University of Utah, 260 S. Central Campus Drive, in the Hinckley Caucus Room. Then Wednesday night, don’t bother trying to make it into the sold-out debate between Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, and his Republican challengers -- former legislator Dan Liljenquist and Rep. Chris Herrod.
The event, which is only one of two slated to be held before the Republican convention later this month, will, however, be live streamed online courtesy of the conservative think tank the Sutherland Institute.
Check it out, Wednesday, April 4, at 7 p.m. on UStream or right here:
