Dear GYA, So, I bought a sweet new T-shirt cannon and, well, I'm not sure what to do with this high-powered fashion bazooka. So far, I've been using it to hang laundry and shoot squirrels. Any other ideas? - Gary Garinsen, 9th & 9th ---
Gary, I've always wanted one of those, and I'm glad you're open to trying out your cannon in places besides sporting events. Here are a few things going on tonight that may or may not allow T-shirt cannons:
Steve-O, the stand-up comedian (yeah, you read that right) will be at Wiseguys in West Valley at 7 p.m. Known for puking a lot and putting things in his orifices, the Jackass star has now turned his life around and is apparently pretty funny without the aforementioned antics. Tickets are going for $25.
Indie-rock duo Sleigh Bells will be performing at The Depot tonight at 8 p.m. Regarded as loud window-rattling synth bass, these Brooklyn natives are coming off their new album, Reign of Terror, and will not disappoint. Tickets are going for $25.
West Coast OG rapper, producer and multi-instrumentalist Polyester The Saint will be nodding heads at Urban Lounge at 9:30 p.m. He'll be performing alongside celebrated mixtape rapper Dom Kennedy and Tommy Hilfiger's kid-turned-rapper Rich Hil. This one will certainly satisfy your hip-hop needs. Tickets are going for $15.
Other stuff tonight that might allow a T-shirt cannon:
- Little Shop of Horrors at the Rose Wagner Center at 8 p.m.
- World famous Karaoke at Bourbon House starting at 9 p.m.
- Asian hip-hop night at The Hotel tonight at 9 p.m.
