Glad You Asked: Professor Gall, Bees and Stand-up

Dear GYA, I'm really sorry to drag you into this but I've been up all night crying. You see, I just wanna know why I wasn't in the new Avengers movie? It's sooo unfair -- all the other Avengers were in it, even that stupid Hawkeye. Do you think Nick Fury hates me? Because I really couldn't handle that. Anything happening today that could cheer me up? - Peter Parker---

Peter, you need to get it together. You're acting like that horrible emo-version of yourself from Spider Man 3. Besides, you have your own movie coming out this year. Alright, buddy? Okaaay, now here are some things going down that'll make you feel better:

Acclaimed junkyard folksinger Professor Gall will be performing tonight at Bar Deluxe. The Portland native has a sound all his own, combining nefarious jazz, folk and late-night Bourbon Street brass. The show starts at 9 p.m. Check him out below:

The Salt Lake Bees are back in town, taking on the Round Rock Express at 6:35 p.m. Coming off a brutal sweep in Las Vegas, the Bees hope to get back on their feet  tonight with Kevin Jepsen starting on the mound. Tonight is 2-for-1 Ticket Tuesday, so stop by any Good Neighbor Pharmacy to pick up a coupon.

Do you have a banger joke that you must to tell? Well, now's your chance to get it out of your system, because every Tuesday, the Complex hosts Comedy Roadkill, showcasing the funniest up-and-coming stand-up comedians and hecklers in Utah. Sign-ups and admission are free. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Other worthwhile events:

-SLC Ballet will be performing Global Water Dances at the downtown Salt Lake City Library today at 5:30 p.m.

- Lumpy's Karaoke tonight at Lumpy's Downtown, beginning at 9 p.m.

- New York Times Best Seller Ron Rash will be autographing his new book The Cove at King's English Bookshop, starting at 7 p.m.
