We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

Glad You Asked: Drag Queens, Danger and LMFAO

Dear GYA, It makes sense that Salt Lake City got 2nd-worst-dressed city in Travel +Leisure magazine. Come on, look at your man. Now, back to me; now, back at your man; now, back to me. Look down, back up -- where are you? Ha, you're in Salt Lake City, where no matter what you wear you'll never will look as good as me in a towel.--- Anything happening tonight where it'll be cool to not wear a shirt? - Old Spice Guy

Old Spice Guy, damn you. Obviously, whatever city you're in will always be the best-dressed because you pull of the towel look like a straight boss. Anyways, here's what's happening tonight:

In honor of the Utah Pride Festival, head over to Brewvies, as City Weekly will be showing a free screening of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of The Desert. Considered one of the best drag films next to Rocky Horror Picture Show, Queen of the Desert has a cult following all its own. The show starts at 8 p.m.

LMFAO, will be playing tonight at the Maverik Center -- you know, the electro-pop crew consisting of two guys who not only claim to be sexy, but they know it? If you're not a huge fan, you probably caught them performing alongside Madonna at last year's Super Bowl XLVI. These guys love to shuffle; everyday, in fact. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Electronic DJ and producer Danger will be performing at Urban Lounge. He's been compared to Daft Punk and Justice, but Danger has a unique take on the popular EDM genre, blending traditional formulas into a crisp, alluring rhythm all his own. MSTR SHRDR and Muscle Hawk will be starting things off. The show is at 9 p.m.

Other worthwhile events happening today:

- New York Times bestselling Author Alyson Nol will be reading and signing her newest book Fated at The King's English Bookshop, beginning at 7 p.m.

- The Big Shiny Geek Show Pub Quiz will be happening this evening at Lucky 13. The questions start at 8 p.m.

- The Salt Lake Bees continue their series with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox this afternoon, starting at 12:05 p.m. Today's game is the inaugural of two mid-week day games this season, the second coming on June 13.
