Have you heard of this new movie, the Batman movie -- what is it, The Batman Lights Up or whatever? So, the main villain in this movie is named Bane. What is the name of the venture-capital group that Romney ran around with? Bain. Do you think it is accidental that the name of the really vicious fire-breathing, four-eyed whatever-it-is villain in this movie is named Bane? This is another example of liberal brainwashing.--- Anything to do tonight besides that liberal Batman movie? - Rush Limbaugh
Rush, you're right. Even though the character Bane was invented in 1993 and it was decided to include Bane in the movie back in 2011, well before Romney was even a candidate -- I'm sure there's some left-wing agenda here. Anyways, here are some things to do today that don't have a liberal agenda:
The rapper Nasir Jones, better known as Nas, will be performing at the Twilight Concert Series tonight at Pioneer Park. The Queens native just released his newest album, Life Is Good, a couple of days ago, which features hit singles like "The Don" and "Accidental Murderers." Undoubtedly, this will be one of the busiest Twilight shows, so make it there early for this one. The show starts at 7 p.m.
Head to the American Fork Amphitheater and check out the Steel Days Festival. This year's festival will be showcasing tons of great local music, food, art, a cutest-baby contest, a doll show, a parade, a 5K, a carnival and even a quilt show! This event is going on all day. Click the above link for more info.
To celebrate Pioneer Day, why not go to an ol' fashioned rodeo? Shine up your belt buckles because the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo will be kicking off at the Ogden Pioneer Stadium this evening and will feature bull riding, bucking broncos and barrel races. The rodeo starts at 7:30 p.m.
A few other worthwhile things goin' down tonight:
- Caleb Chapman & The Voodoo Orchestra will be performing for free at The Gateway at 6:30 p.m.
- Draper Movies in The Park will be showing a free screening of We Bought A Zoo at the Draper Amphitheater, starting at 9 p.m.
- Mullet Hatchet will be on stage at Canyon Inn tonight, beginning at 7 p.m.
