Alex Boye to Perform Benefit Concert for Children in Senegal

The Women’s World Health Initiative is hosting a benefit concert and fundraiser Saturday in Salt Lake City for its charitable work with mothers and children in the African nation of Senegal.---

Acclaimed artist Boye will join an African children’s choir and a drumming group in Saturday’s concert that will raise money for WWHI’s important work in Senegal. The WWHI currently has a number of projects ongoing in Senegal including maintaining a women’s cooperative-type organization, providing medical supplies to community health-care workers and collecting health data on anemia in the country.

The concert Saturday is a local opportunity to make a difference half a world away. Participants can purchase VIP tickets for $75 that includes special seating, a cocktail hour and a chance to meet Boye. General admission tickets are only $15. For more information, visit the WWHI site here.
