We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you.

At Park City’s Canyons Resort, the Silverado Lodge is the perfect starting point for all kinds of outdoor activities, and has a current booking deal on Sniqueaway. ---  Skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing are just minutes away, with a secure ski-check service available to guests. If you prefer to stay away from the snow, stave off the cold in your room in front of the warm, flickering fireplace, or visit the resort's year-round heated pool, hot tub or steam room.

The Canyons has several on-site dining options. The Bistro At Canyons is the world's only kosher restaurant based in a ski resort. It will open for the 2012-13 season on Nov. 29. Even if you don't know your kashrut from your treif, consider stopping by for some of the Bistro's unique, gourmet cuisine, like the beef-cheek gnocchi or mushroom tart. Additionally, Park City itself is just a quick drive or shuttle ride from the resort, with an immense array of dining and entertainment options.

The Travel Tramps regularly write about their treks near and far in City Weekly and host the Travel Brigade Radio Show.
