We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you.

TV Tonight: Burn Notice, Parks & Recreation

What’s new on the toob tonight:

Burn Notice (USA) 2-Hour Fall Premiere: Season 6 of Yelling In Sunglasses returns with Mike, Fiona, Sam and … Jesse? Still? … punching, shooting and exploding their way out of Panama after being double-crossed and left for dead by bastard people. ---Since Burn Notice has just been picked up for another season next year, probably safe to say they’ll make it—even if Mike “misses the flight.” But really, there’s no reason not to finally kill off Jesse in the process. Just thinkin’ out loud here.

Parks & Recreation (NBC) Not only does tonight mark the return of Jean-Ralphio (Entertainment 720! Bring that shit back!), but also a guest appearance by Jonathan Banks—aka the late Mike from Breaking Bad—as Ben’s dad. As the promo below indicates, Parks & Recreation is the only comedy on NBC tonight; Tivo accordingly.

Also new tonight:
Last Resort, Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal (ABC); The Big Bang Theory, Two & a Half Men, Person of Interest, Elementary (CBS); The Voice, The Office, Rock Center With Brian Williams (NBC); The X Factor, Glee (Fox); The Vampire Diaries, Beauty & The Beast (The CW); The Real Housewives of Miami (Bravo); Beyond Scared Straight (A&E); Impact Wrestling (Spike); Jersey Shore (MTV); Childrens Hospital, NTSF:SD:SUV (Adult Swim); It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Brand X With Russell Brand, Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell (FX); Reality Show, Dave’s Old Porn (Showtime)
