We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you.

What’s new on the teevee tonight:

Justified (FX) Season Premiere: On the downside, Winona (Natalie Zea) is gone, but Season 4 of Justified is packing in the guest stars—including cable drama’s unexpected new go-to guy, comedian Patton Oswalt. ---This time around, U.S. Marshal Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) works a three-decade-old Kentucky cold case tied to his crook father, while Boyd (Walton Goggins) runs up against a snake-handling preacher even more adept at separating folks from their money than he is—of course, this will not stand. What will stand: True TV and Brewvies (677 S. 200 West; 21+) are once again bringing cable-less beer enthusiasts Justified, every Tuesday at 8 p.m. Be there.

Cougar Town (TBS) Season Premiere: The only difference between the old Cougar Town on ABC and the new version on TBS: more wine guzzling and saltier language—advantage, cable! Courteney Cox & the Cul de Sac Crew are still a crack comedy ensemble saddled with a crap show title (how about More Wine Guzzling & Saltier Language?), and the six episodes sent out to media types easily stand up to anything from the previous three seasons back in broadcastville. Any takers to save Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the B in Apt. 23 from ABC next? Comedy Central? Netflix? HGTV?

The Joe Schmo Show (Spike) Season Premiere/Reboot: About 10 years ago, Spike pranked a reality-house contestant by surrounding him with actors and fucking with him mercilessly—and he still never caught on. Now, The Joe Schmo Show is back, because …? Spike can’t survive on Bar Rescue alone? (I say it totally can.)

Also new tonight:
Happy Endings, Don’t Trust the B in Apt. 13, Private Practice (ABC); NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Vegas (CBS); Betty’s White’s Off Their Rockers, Parenthood (NBC); Raising Hope, Ben & Kate, New Girl, The Mindy Project (Fox); Emily Owens M.D. (The CW); Pretty Little Liars, The Lying Game (ABC Family); Doomsday Preppers (NatGeo); The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Million Dollar Decorators (Bravo); The Burn With Jeff Ross (Comedy Central); Storage Wars Texas, Storage Wars New York (A&E); Snooki & Jwoww (MTV); Totally T-Boz (TLC); Dance Moms (Lifetime)
