Dear GYA, So, I just found out that Han Solo and Boba Fett are both getting their own Star Wars spin-off movies. This is great and all. But eventually, I hope we see a movie about Malakili and his pet Rancor or at the very least a Jar Jar Binks spin-off. I'd love to see that guy on the screen for 90 minutes. Oh, man, is there anything happening today greater than Jar Jar Binks? - Jonathan McRomber,---30-year-old 10-year-old

Jonathan, It seems that Disney will do anything to make back its investment in Star Wars. Don't worry, I guarantee we will see every ounce of juice squeezed from this franchise. In the meantime, here are some options for today:

The Capitol Theatre will be showcasing the Motown musical production Dreamgirls tonight. The Tony award-winning show follows an all-female vocal trio in 1962, who call themselves The Dreamettes and enter a talent contest at New York’s famous Apollo Theater. The show starts at 7:30.

At the Desert Star Theatre, check out the comedy Kicking the Hobbit: Bored of The Rings. Science-fiction geek Walter gets a “Dear John” from his fiancee because he spends too much time fantasizing about Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Now, Walter must journey to Middle Earth with a zany band of misfits to return balance to the the world ...and his girlfriend. The shows starts at 6 p.m.

The Beerhive is hosting the female beer-enthusiast group The Barley's Angels. They'll be holding a Beer and Chocolate pairing with Epic Brewing and Millcreek Cacao Roasters. The event is for ladies 21 years and older and costs $10 at the door. You must RSVP to this private event. To RSVP, please call 801-719-0525, or e-mail barleysangelsutah@gmail.com. The tasting starts at 7 p.m.
