Our neighbors to the north in Idaho have some great places for a weekend getaway. Tamarack Lodge, in Ketchum, near Sun Valley, has a current deal on Travelzoo for more than 50 percent off a two-night stay that would make for an ideal escape. --- Besides Sun Valley, the lodge is also near the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, both of which have a variety of winter outdoor activities available. Of course, you’re also near all of the spas, dining and shopping in Sun Valley.

Tamarack Lodge's current deal is $139 for a two-night stay in any of its available rooms, including suites, for up to four guests. The lodge has an indoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, and provides complimentary bikes and snowshoes to guests looking to explore the local area. Ketchum is a reasonable drive from Salt Lake City, but the Sun Valley airport is also serviced by Alaska Airlines and SkyWest. The deal is valid for bookings through the end of June, but ends soon, so act quickly!
