Dear GYA, Now that I've been caught by the cops, I gotta say I'm gonna miss roughing it in the mountains. I'll miss the little things that test a man's ability to survive and live off the land: sleeping under the stars, rifling through other people's stuff and occasionally drinking my own pee -- you know, survival stuff. Anything happening today comparable to the thrill of "surviving?" -- Mountain Man

Mountain Man, Yeah, it must have been a tough situation for you, breaking into cabins and generally being an all-around-creepy dude for the past seven years. Here are a few options for today ... that you can't do because you're in jail:

Acoustic singer-songwriter Jeff Magnum will be at The Depot this evening The Tall Firs are also on the bill. The show starts at 8. Tickets are $30.

At Sugar Space, check out a dance-centric evening with Sample Tracks. This local sampler will feature the works of Movement Forum, fivefour/Cortney McGuire & Leah Nelson DelPorto, and Samuel Hanson. Tickets are $10-$12. The show starts at 8.

Folk-rock band Ivan & Alyosha will be performing at Kilby Court. Fort Atlantic and L'anarchiste will provide support. The show starts at 7 p.m.
