We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

Dear GYA, I'm dying over here, waiting for Kim Kadashian and Kanye West to tell us what they named their damned baby. But based on the fact that Kim's sisters are named Khloe, Kourtney, Kylie and Kendall and her mom's name is Kris, I think we can assume the child's name will start with a K.--- Then again, there's always the chance they'll name it something we would've never thought of, like Banana. Arrgh! Anything happening today while I wait for the big news? - Mischa Rounders, Park City

Mischa,  There really is no way to know. The best thing is to not care. But, anyway, here are a few things to do today while you wait:

Pressed And will be onstage at Kilby Court tonight. Coral Bones and It Is Rain In My Face will open up. The show starts at 7. Tickets are $6.

Father John Misty will be performing at Urban Lounge this evening. Pure Bathing Culture will open up. The show starts at 9. Tickets are $15.

Folk singer Jackson Browne will be onstage at Red Butte tonight, but it's sold out. Instead, checkout Snowden at Bar Deluxe, starting at 8. Tickets are $12.
