Dear GYA, I would like to announce that I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy last night and Josh and I decided to not name him anything weird ... so we settled on Axl Jack. Trust me, we mulled over quite a few names, like Slash Turn Signal, OnStar Power Window and Truck Nuts F250, to name a few.--- But. ultimately. we thought it would be best if he had a traditional family name ... since my grandfather was an '89 IROC. Anything happening this weekend more perfect than Axl Jack? - Fergie

At Rio Tinto Stadium, Real Salt Lake will be taking on the Portland Timbers at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $20.
The Salt Lake Bees and the Reno Aces are facing off at Spring Mobile Ballpark at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $5.
New Orleans brass band The Soul Rebels will be onstage at The State Room. Tickets are $20. The show starts at 9 p.m.
Ed Kenley Centennial Amphitheater will be hosting Shakespeare In The Park at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5.
The Sugar House Park Farmers Market kicks off at 4 p.m.
Saturday's events:
The SLC Rebel Reggae Fest will be happening at The Urban Lounge this evening. Tickets are $10. The show starts at 8.
Alternative rock band Alien Ant Farm will be at Kilby Court tonight. Bon Vivant is also on the bill. The show starts at 8. Tickets are $20.
San Diego-based indie band Pinback will be at The Depot. The show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $21.
For all things reptile related, check out Repticon at the Davis County Fairgrounds, beginning at 10 a.m. Tickets start at $5.
If you're into rap battles, head to The Shred Shed for the Verbal Assault rap showcase, starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are $7.
Sunday's events:
City Weekly, True TV, Bohemian Brewery & Brewvies will be showing the final season of AMC's Breaking Bad, free on the big screen, starting at 7 pm.
Bourbon House will be hosting Funk and Soul Night with DJ Street Jesus. The music starts at 9 p.m. No cover.
As part of the Broadway Theater's Summer Chills Hitchcock Retrospective, checkout Vertigo, North by Northwest, and The Man Who Knew Too Much, beginning at 8 p.m. Admission is free.
The Salt Lake City Jazz Festival with Macy Gray will be going down today at 2 p.m. Admission is $16.
