September Getaway to Lake Tahoe

Summer may be winding to a close, but it's not too late for a getaway to Lake Tahoe. As September begins, the water at Tahoe South is still as beautiful as ever, and temperatures are still nice into the fall. --- Although the lake calls all with its beauty, there is so much more to do. Try out your poker face or blow on some dice at one of Lake Tahoe's casinos, or ride up the gondola, hike, or tube down a 500-foot-long hill with a 65-foot vertical drop at Heavenly Resort.

There is still time to hit the greens at Edgewood Tahoe golf course, or kayak or paddle board at Zephyr Cove, or Camp Richardson, each providing a different visitor experience. Food and drink are never an afterthought in Tahoe. Have brunch at the Red Hut Cafe, and stop at Riva Grill to wet your whistle while taking in the sunset view of the lake. If you're looking for one last vacation before settling in for autumn, Lake Tahoe is ideal.
