Saturday Night Live (NBC) Season Premiere: For the first time since Salt Lake City’s KSL 5 became an NBC … affiliate? … in 1995, the station is actually going to carry Saturday Night Live—it’s not so much a “content” decision as it is a “nobody’s watching our local sports shit anymore; might as well put this on” decision. ---Earlier this year, it only took KSL a few weeks to figure out that NBC’s Hannibal—a show about a serial killer—contains serial killing, so they’re obviously getting better at this difficult business of TV. CW30, the local station that’s run SNL for years, will be counter-programming with High School Musical 3—it’s a topsy-turvy world! Tonight’s host for the Season 39 premiere of Saturday Night Live is Tina Fey (fresh off her “scandalous” Emmys nip-slip incident), with musical guests Arcade Fire (fresh off their … yeah, I don’t remember which annoying accordion band they are, either). Set that DVR—I mean, have your kid set that DVR.
Also new tonight:
Hell on Wheels (AMC)
Cops (Spike)
The White Queen (Starz)
The Cheating Pact (Lifetime)
Cupcake Wars (Food)
