Dear GYA, It appears that the future will be bright. That's right, the debt ceiling will be raised, the federal government will reopen, and, to top it off, multiple sources have confirmed that Jamie Fox and Katie Holmes are indeed boning. This is a huge day for the American people. Anything going on today better now that America is back on track?! - Frank Dropelmynt, Logan---

For some NBA pre-season action, the Utah Jazz will be taking on the Portland Trailblazers at 7. Tickets start at $10. 

Indie-band Built To Spill will be at Kilby Court. Slam Dunk and Genders are also on the bill. Tickets start at $25. Doors open at 7. 

Synth-pop band Passion Pit will be onstage at The Complex. The Joy Formidable will open up. Tickets are $35. The show starts at 7:30.
