What’s new on the box(es) tonight:

Masters of Sex (Showtime) Sure, Homeland is still a thing, but what you should really be watching harder is Showtime’s far-better new Masters of Sex, the dramatized story of 1950s sexuality-research pioneers Dr. William Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) that’s more about human relationships and academia (and gorgeously detailed Mad Men period style) than sex and nudity—but there’s plenty of that, too. ---In tonight’s fourth episode—catch up, already—Virgina’s broke musician ex-husband signs up for the sex study, complicating Masters and Johnson’s professional/personal relationship even further, as if the appearance of Masters’ mother and a blindside dinner date weren’t enough. Check out Masters of Sex; you’ll forget about Brody and Carrie in no time.

Also new tonight:

Once Upon a Time, Revenge, Betrayal (ABC)

The Amazing Race, The Good Wife, The Mentalist (CBS)

The Walking Dead, Talking Dead, Comic Book Men (AMC)

Drop Dead Diva, Witches of East End (Lifetime)

Queer Eye For the Straight Guy Reunion (Bravo)

Homeland (Showtime)

Boardwalk Empire, Eastbound & Down, Hello Ladies (HBO)

China Il, Aqua Teen Show Show (Adult Swim)
