Dear GYA, Over the weekend, a bear was reportedly spotted in City Creek Canyon. That's right, a bear. Am I the only one who believes that this city should be doing more to protect its tax payers from the vicious jaws of bears? How about a daily bear patrol, or handing out bear guns to school kids? Hell, at the very least, we could use a bear-awareness month. Is anything happening today after we run all the bears out of town? Melinda Watersly, The Avenues---
Melinda, I couldn't agree more. If anything, we should be training the stray cats of City Creek Canyon to defend themselves. Here's what's up for today:
Pop-rapper Hoodie Allen will be at The Complex this evening. OCD: Moosh & Twist and Mod Sun are also on the bill. The show starts at 7. Tickets are $25.
"The Cult of Personality" will be in town, as the jazz, funk and rock band Living Colour will be at The Depot. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $22.
