We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

Dear GYA, Last night, Jon Stewart went into a lengthy rant about how Chicago-style pizza isn't real pizza -- calling it a casserole and whatnot. Really, Jon? This debate is so tired and lame. Whatever your stance is on pie, I think we can all agree that cheese, tomato sauce and bread is downright delicious ... and also that California pizza tastes like doo-doo. Anything happening today better than a pizza debate? -Mark Rigatoni, Magna---

Mark, In a way, you're right: Debating about pizza is asinine. If anything, we should be debating about who has the better hot dogs. With that said, Chicago wins every time. Here's what's up for today:

Comedian and Who's The Man actor Bill Bellamy will be at Wiseguys West Valley tonight at 7:30. Tickets are $20. His show also runs Friday and Saturday. Click here for showtimes

Selena Gomez, that chick who once dated Justin Bieber, will be doing something over at EnergySolutions Arena tonight. The show starts at 8. Tickets start at $36

New York-based rapper Yazzi will be onstage at Kilby Court this evening. KDZ, Zigga, Bentley and ZZ are also on the bill. The show starts at 8. Tickets are $6.
