This Sunday, Nov. 24, Finca restaurant will host its 2nd Annual Utah Craft Beer Dinner. ---
Finca owner Scott Evans says, "Sure, I am a wine guy, unabashedly. What may be less obvious is my passion for beer. I find the same passion behind what brought me to wine in these four local breweries -- they are putting us all on the map and they have been winning national awards since they began making beer in Utah."
On Sunday, brewmasters from Epic, Red Rock, Wasatch and Uinta breweries will guide guests through a four-course dinner, pairing beers from each brewery with contemporary Spanish cuisine.
Some of the pairings for the evening include:
Oysters on the half-shell with coriander and citrus vinaigrette + Wasatch Ghostrider, White India Pale Ale
Pedro Jiminez-braised short ribs with pickled butternut and black-garlic crumble + Red Rock Secale, Rye Double Bock
Wood-grilled duck & duck confit and organic chicken & local mushroom paella + Uinta Sea Legs, Baltic Porter
Churros con chocolate with Stout dipping sauce + Epic Big Bad Baptist, Imperial Stout
The cost per person for the craft beer dinner is $25 for beer and $35 for food, plus 20% gratuity. The dinner will be held from 6 to 9 p.m.
