Glad You Asked: Cat Power, Berwanger and Chicago Bulls | Buzz Blog
We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

Dear GYA, I can't believe they killed-off Brian "the talking dog" Griffin on Family Guy last night. It really hurts that Seth MacFarlane would have the the balls to remove a character from a show that no one watches. Let's just hope and pray this trend doesn't catch on and they kill off Frank Agnew from Low Winter Sun, or Max Black from 2 Broke Girls.--- Anything happening today to mourn the death of Brian Griffin? - Henry Gusterly, Midvale

Henry, This is what always happens with shows that no longer hold interest. Just be thankful that we still have lovable/forgettable characters like Jake Styles from Jake and The Fat Man, and Sharon Carter from Two Guys A Girl and A Pizza Place. Here's what's up for today:

Singer-songwriter Cat Power will be at The Depot this evening. Nico Turner is also on the bill. The starts at 9. Tickets are $35.

At Energy Solutions Arena, the Utah Jazz will be taking on the Derrick Rose-less Chicago Bulls. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $10.

Former member of the band Anniversary and rock enthusiast Josh Berwanger will be onstage at Kilby Court tonight. Spirit Master and Roots of Arcatia are also on the bill. The show starts at 8. Tickets are $7.
