Glad You Asked: Devil Whale, Matty Mo, Beware of Darkness | Buzz Blog
We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

Dear GYA, Have you seen the new trailer for the Mitt Romney documentary? As a robot, I almost felt the human emotions known as empathy and sadness. If I had the correct upgrades, I would have certainly shed an automated robot tear. Is there anything happening today as emotionally gripping as the trailer for Mitt?  - Mitt Romney's Roomba---

Roomba, The film will surely be a triumph of human-like feelings. Here's what's up for today:

Local rock band Devil Whale is throwing a Christmas Party at Urban Lounge, with a musical guest list including The Bully, The Rubes, Dylan Roe, Spirit Master and David Williams. The show starts at 8 p.m. Admission is free!

Indie-blues-rock band Beware of Darkness will be onstage at In The Venue this evening. The show starts at 6. Tickets are $6.

At Willie's Lounge, DJ Matty Mo will be throwing his weekly Willie's Wednesday party. The music starts at 6:30 p.m. There's no cover.
