We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

Dear GYA, I love the Outdoor Retailers Conference; it gives me a chance to showcase next year's gear and most importantly it allows me practice my industry speak in a safe setting. Hold on, I gotta interact with a customer real quick. "Bro, this year it's all about stokin' on triple reverse sidecuts with interlocking double-wickable bamboo rocker and diamond-sheered pontoon spatula camber, bro. Ok?! Pound it!" ---Sorry about that. Anything happening today, besides OR, where I can practice my industry speak? - Trevor Mackinack, The Salt Palace

Trevor, bro, here in Utah industry speak is taught as a second language in grade school. In other words, the Wasatch is your oyster. Here's what's up for today:

Dubstep duo Adventure Club will be at Park City Live tonight.   The show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $50.

Americana band The Devil Makes Three will be at The Depot this evening. The Brothers Comatose will open things up. The doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25.

Tonight is Wild Wednesday at Willie's Lounge with DJ Matty Mo. The party starts at 9 p.m. Admission is free.
