Dear GYA, It seems a little ridiculous to change Utah's liquor laws when they've clearly been effective. Based on our numbers, Utah has highest percentage of people complaining about liquor laws than any other state! This is great news. Anything happening this weekend as fantastic as Utah's perfectly sound and reasonable liquor laws? - Apostle Todd Christofferson---

Todd, don't forget we also have the most church influence on state policy than any other state! The liquor laws are perfect ... for people who don't drink. Here's what's up with this weekend, starting with Friday's events:

Country group Lady Antebellum will be performing at EnergySolutions Arena tonight at 7 p.m. Kip Moore and Kasey Musgraves will also be performing. Tickets start at $25. 

The Utah Grizzlies will be taking on the Bakersfield Condors at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $12.  

Stand-up comedian Tracy Morgan will be on stage at Wiseguys West Valley this evening. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $40.  

Rapper Chali 2na of Jurassic 5 will be at The Downstairs in Park City this evening. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25. 

San Diego-based reggae band Tribal Seeds will be at Urban Lounge. Mystic Roots is also on the bill. The doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are  $23. 


Saturday's events:  

The Outdoor Retailer Winter Market will be going down at the Salt Palace today at 10 a.m. More info here.

The Utah Jazz will be taking on the Washington Wizards tonight at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $10.  

Oregon-based band Westward will be at Kilby Court. Your Meteor and Eli Buxton are also performing. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6. 

Ska band The Toasters will be at Bar Deluxe this evening.  Tickets are $10. The shows starts at 8 p.m. 

Fast and Furious actor Ludacris will be rapping at Park City Live this evening. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $50.  

Saga Outerwear is throwing a party at Urban Lounge. Music by DJ Matty Mo and Pierce. The party starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $3.  


Sunday's events:  

Tonight is Funk and Soul night at Bourbon House with DJ Street Jesus. The funk starts at 9 p.m. Admission is free.  

The Geek Show Podcast will be going down at Brewvies this evening. The show starts at 5 p.m. Admission is free.  

Piper Down will be hosting the popular Geeks Who Drink pub quiz tonight. The quizzin' starts at 7:30 p.m. There's no cover.
