Glad You Asked: Globetrotters, Etana & Holy Water Buffalo | Buzz Blog
We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

Dear GYA,  Words cannot describe how disappointed I am. When I die, I want my tombstone to read, "Here lies Marcus Ramfert. The poor bastard never got to play Flappy Birds."--- I then want my loved ones to release a cage full of white doves... that obviously represent my suffering. Anything happening today now that Flappy Birds is gone? - Marcus Ramfert, Sandy

Marcus, I never got to try the Baconator. So, in a way, we're brothers. Here's what's happening tonight:

The legendary Harlem Globetrotters will be taking on the win-less Generals tonight at EnergySolutions Arena. Tickets start at $20. The game starts at 7 p.m.

Local band Holy Water Buffalo will be playing a free show at Urban Lounge tonight. The Red Bennies, The 2:13s  and Green River Blues are also on the bill. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Jamaican reggae singer Etana will be at Bar Deluxe this evening. Makisi and Sione Toki are also performing. Tickets are $13. Doors open at 8 p.m.
