One of my favorite California wineries is Judd's Hill Winery and Microcrush, located in Napa Valley. And when Judd Finkelstein, for whom his family's winery is named, is in town fun usually follows. --- 

Judd will be in Salt Lake City next week for a trio of wine tastings and to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of Judd's Hill. As always, I'm hoping he brings his ukulele and does a song or two. 

I was only given detailed information about the tasting at Martine, but here is the lineup for Judd's SLC visit next week:

Tuesday, February 18, 6:30 PM: Wine Dinner at Wild Grape Bistro - $45 pp. for dinner/$40 for optional wine pairings. Phone 801-746-5565 to RSVP

Wednesday, February 19, 6:00 PM: "Small Plates Big Glass" wine tasting series at Martine - $25 pp. for 3 tapas/$25 for 3 optional wine pairings. Chef Tom Grant will prepare 3 small plates: smoked rock cod with salmon roe & beet puree; gnocchi with lamb Bolognese & shaved Rock Hill Creamery Edam; and beef & Creminelli sausage paupiette with caramelized kale. The Judd's Hill wines being poured will be Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a special-release Cabernet option. Phone 801-363-9328 for reservations.
