We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you.

Glad You Asked: Papadosio, Ume & Astronautalis

Dear GYA, Today marks the first time in our nation's history that a major corporation has taken the time and effort to recognize traditional Waffle Taco cuisine. Personally, I love ethnic food and this new breakfast menu item is a testament to the noble Waffle Taco tribes that used to roam these lands,--- surviving off of a simple combination of waffle, sausage and a cheesy egg-like substance. Anything happening today better than a traditional Waffle Taco? - Lenny Jaholla, Murray

Lenny, to truly immerse yourself in the Waffle Taco culture, travel to Southern Utah where you can still see ancient pictographs of Waffle Tacos. Here's what's up for today:

Austin-based indie band Ume will be at Kilby Court tonight. I Hear Sirens and Grass are also on the bill. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8.

Ohio jam band Papadosio will be at The Complex this evening. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $16.

Rapper Austonautalis will be at Urban Lounge. Playdough, Transit and Apt are also performing. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10.
