Stand-up comedian Bengt Washburn will be on the mic at Wiseguys West Valley tonight and Saturday. Each night there's a 7:30 p.m. performance as well as a 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $12.
Local electro-rock looper Giraffula will be at Urban Lounge this evening. The North Valley, Palace Of Buddies and Uinta are also on the bill. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $6.
Ad hoc blues band Swede Town Sheiks will be on stage at The Garage. The show starts at 9:30 p.m. There's a $5 cover.
SLC-based psych-rock band Dark Seas will be at Kilby Court tonight. Breakers and Red Telephone will warm it up. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6.
Saturday's events:
English indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club will be at Urban Lounge this evening. Royal Canoe is also on the bill. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $18.

Hip-Hop Roots SLC will be going down at Kilby Court tonight and will feature music from local rappers Highdro, Dusk, House of Lewis, Gryzzlee Beats and Omeed the Nag. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10.
Real Salt Lake will be taking on the Vancouver Whitecaps FC today at Rio Tinto Stadium. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
Atlanta-based indie band Manchester Orchestra will be at In The Venue tonight. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $22.
Da Mafia 6 (formerly Memphis-based rap crew, Three 6 Mafia) will be at Lo-Fi Cafe tonight. Twisted Insane, Whitney Peyton and Sozay are also performing. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.

Pop-punk band Skating Polly will be at Kilby Court. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7.
Brewvies will be showing a free screening of the latest episode of Cosmos: A Space Time Odyssey. The show starts 8 p.m.
