Mark, if you want to get downtown, the fasts way to do this is to just buck-up and join the parade, ala Ferris Bueller. Here's what's happening today: 

California-based black metal band Ash Borer will be at Urban Lounge this evening. Hell and Wolvserpent are also on the bill. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8.  

Pysch-punk band Kithkin will be at Kilby Court. Aan, The North Valley and Lake Island are also performing. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6. 

Legendary funk and r&b singer Charles Bradley and his band The Extraordinaires will be at the Twilight Concert Series tonight. The Budos Band will open up. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5.
