Dear GYA, Like a lot of people, I'm thinking about seeing Sharknado 2 tonight at Brewvies. However, having not seen the first one, will this be a problem? Will I be able to follow the complicated plot, heavy character development and deep narratives that will surely arise in cinema's most formidable sequel? - Kelly Rouchel, Salt Lake City 

Kelly, you like sharks? You like explosions? You like exploding sharks? Good. You'll be fine. Here's what's going down tonight? 

Tonight is City Weekly's Free Critic Pick Night, which means you can catch Sharknado 2 for free on the big screen! The show starts at 7 p.m. 

Nashville-based alt-country band Those Darlings will be at Urban Lounge tonight. Diarrhea Planet and Jawwzz are also on the bill. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10. 

Over at Rio Tinto stadium, Real Salt Lake will be taking on the New York Red Bulls.Kick-off is at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $20.
