Happy Tuesday, music fans. My favorite new record from this week is Frozen Letter, the latest from North Carolina garage-rock/punk band Spider Bags (hell of a name—if I think about it too much I get the jibblies). It's jangly and raggedy, and I dig the almost-country vocals.

This week there's also new stuff from British indie-rock outfit Adult Jazz, Brooklyn electro/psych/rock trio Bear in Heaven, San Francisco experimental rock band Chrome, and psych-pop band David Kilgour & the Heavy Eights, who recorded their latest album in frontman Kilgour's native New Zealand.

Spider Bags, Frozen Letter
"Back With You Again in the World"

Adult Jazz, Gist Is
"Spook"

Bear in Heaven, Time Is Over One Day Old
"Time Between"

Chrome, Feel It Like a Scientist
"Prophesy"

David Kilgour & the Heavy Eights, End Times Undone
"Comin' On"
