*Climbs out of minivan* Oh, hey there GYA! You know, as a 43 year old father of six, devoted husband and active Mormon, my life is full of responsibilities. *Loosens tie* Life sure is hectic. That's why, sometimes, a  guy like me needs to put my hair up, throw on some lipstick, slide into a comfy pair of snake-skin tights and relax to some soothing protopunk sub-genres, especially glam-punk, am I right? *opens closet revealing a huge assortment of colorful scarfs.* Anything good happening for a glam-punk dad tonight? - Nephi Kingston, Sugar House 

Nephi, well, luckily for you, Washington-based glam-punk band The Prophets of Addiction will perform at Gino's this evening. The glam starts at 9 p.m. Expect a cover. 


The Utah State Fair is happening out at the State Fairgrounds tonight with musical guests The Beach Boys. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $29

Canadian punk band Single Mothers will be at Kilby Court.  Wearing Thin and Alexander Ortega are also on the bill. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.
