Mission Control: Called It!

In my Fall TV Preview last month, I wrote the following about new NBC midseason comedy Mission Control:

“Will Ferrell and Adam McKay produce a David Hornsby (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) comedy about a female 1960s astronaut (Krysten Ritter) trying to break into the NASA boys club. Even in space, you can already hear this being canceled.”

It’s already happened—and Mission Control hasn’t even aired yet. NBC has pulled the plug on the comedy due to “casting issues,” whatever the hell that means. Can’t the network just revive Don’t Trust the B in Apt. 23? It would be better than most new comedies NBC has right now (get ready to join Mission Control in the Fall TV 2014 footnotes, Bad Judge and A to Z).
