Dear GYA, Last night my daughter looked me square in the eyes and said, "Turn down for what, dad?" and I said, "Turn down for calling your grandma on her birthday, Lauren." Served. Five minutes later she was chatting with her Nanna in Phoenix. Yeah, life is pretty trill when you're a trap dad. Anything happening tonight for us dads who are just too damn turnt? - Frank Gellano, Salt Lake City 

Frank, If at some point I am also a dad, I hope to be a trap dad just like you. Here's a few "turnt" options for tonight: 

Chicago-based DJ duo Flosstradamus will be at In The Venue this evening. The show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $30. 


A few other options for tonight: 

Southern singer/songwriters JJ Grey, Marc Broussard, Anders Osborne and Luther Dickinson will be at The State Room tonight. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $55.  

Urban Lounge is hosting a free show tonight with math-rock band Birthquake, Koala Temple, High Counsel and Stag Hare. The show starts at 8 p.m. 

Experimental folk-rock band The Soil & the Sun will be at Kilby Court. The Ars Nova and Archeopteryx are also on the bill. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7.
