Dear GYA, We all know that if you feed a Mogwai after midnight it turns into a Gremlin. But how long do I have to wait? A couple of minutes? Until 1 a.m.? Until sunrise? When you think about it, isn't every minute of the day technically "after midnight?" Also, are Gremlins aware of timezones? Hell, it could be midnight in New York but only 9 p.m. in California? Is there really any time of day you can safely feed a Mogwai? - James Lounger, Salt Lake City

James, uhhh, I haven't seen Gremlins since 1984, so I'm not 100 percent sure. But I would say the safest time of day to feed a Mogwai would probably be around brunch.  Here's the details on tonight's show:

Brewvies will be showing the 1984 Christmas/horror classic Gremlins tonight for free! The show starts at 10 p.m.

A couple other options for tonight:

Texas dream-pop band Pageantry will be at Kilby Court this evening. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7.

Hardcore punk band Snot will be at In The Venue tonight. He Is Legend, Zombiecock and Anew Revolution are also on the bill. The show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20.

Piper Down will be hosting the popular pub trivia game Geeks Who Drink. The quizzin' starts at 8 p.m. Admission is free.
