The Portuguese estate of Quinta do Romeu is a sprawling (several hundred thousand acres), wild, beautiful, and certified organic operation that has been owned by one family since 1857 and produces cork, olives, and small production wines (on just 60 acres of vines).
Included in the Quinta do Romeu wine portfolio are complex, age-worthy reds, refreshing and easy-sipping Rosé, and whites like the pretty Branco Reserva.
On Saturday, May 14th, Finca restaurant will host a wine dinner featuring winemaker João Pedro Menéres and his Quinta do Romeu wines. The cost is $40 for food and $30 for the optional wine pairings. According to Finca owner Scott Evans, "João will have a few of his 2011s with him, and if you've been doing your research, you know that these are wines you don't want to miss."
