Spirit Machines: “Candy Shell” and Cyberpunk: Endgame out now
The wait is finally over—listeners can finally hear Spirit Machines’ single “Candy Shell,” which is featured in the video game Cyberpunk 2077. The band entered a contest, and their submission was chosen from thousands of applicants. If you have the game and bought the new DLC, Phantom Liberty, you’ll hear Spirit Machines’ bad-ass track, one that fits perfectly with the game’s aesthetic. Not only has this single finally been revealed, you can also take a dive into their new EP Cyberpunk: Endgame. The band are all big fans of Cyberpunk and the futuristic vibe, and you can find that in abundance on the EP. Not only are the members cool characters on the album art, there are so many intriguing electronic elements blended with the headbanging rock that will make you feel like you’re cruising through a futuristic highway battling bad guys along the way. “Candy Shell” and Cyberpunk: Endgame are streaming everywhere now.
Sky Olson: “Lavender Sky” out now
If you’re looking for saxophone hooks, nostalgic guitar solos and lots of ’80s sparkle, “Lavender Sky” is just the ticket. Sky Olson’s latest track is a calming yet energetic song that will inject plenty of nostalgia into your veins, but offers a modern-day freshness that’s exciting. I’ve never found myself thinking that I need more saxophone in my life, but this song proves me wrong. All of the elements blend together beautifully, and accompany thoughtfully-crafted lyrics that will stick with you each time you listen. “We try to back it up / To where it feels safe,” Olson sings. “Back to the castle that you and I made / But the locks have changed / And your smile fades.” If your music library needs some refreshers, this is the perfect addition. “Lavender Sky” is streaming everywhere now.
