Bone Throwers: Strange Gift out now
Have you found yourself in the mood for a group that produces face-melting surf/punk/thrash/jazz music? If so, boy do I have some good news for you. SLC group Bone Throwers released their latest EP
Strange Gift at the end of September, and it’s ready to be consumed and get lost into. The collection starts with the title track, enticing you in with some sliding bass before the reverb-soaked guitar pours in. Bone Throwers put this EP together to "illustrate the fearsome power of the natural elements, as well as the highly individualistic beauties of naturalism as a religion in a state with such rampant religious hegemony and intolerance."
Strange Gift is peaceful and exciting at the same time—it’s a collection of music you can relax to, but with each song you hear more interesting elements the band incorporates. They employ a delightful combination of instruments and sounds that feel transportive. The five-track EP will make you feel like you’ve drifted into a fantasy world you won’t want to leave. Strange Gift is
streaming now, but consider supporting Bone Throwers and your other favorite local bands
on BandCamp.
