An Evening of the World’s Greatest Comedy Routines

Cedar City’s theater reputation might revolve around the annual summer Shakespearean Festival. But for eight years, the city has also hosted a summer showcase dedicated to another playwright: Neil Simon. This weekend, you can help support the entity devoted to this singular comic voice by sampling the best from other great comic voices.

An Evening of the World’s Greatest Comedy Routines finds Cedar City’s Off the Cuff comedy troupe performing some of the most celebrated sketches—with appropriate-for-all-ages content— of the 20th century, from the golden age of radio through the 1970s. The program promises contributions from Abbott & Costello, Monty Python, Bill Cosby, Jack Benny and more. Patrons 15 years and older are invited for the performance, appetizers and nonalcoholic refreshments. Even vintage chestnuts of comedy can feel fresh again performed live with an audience to share the laughter.
